Up to now, the way adults are educated, hasn’t changed much, making it boring and unattractive. This discourages many adults from either improving their knowledge and qualifications in order to find a better job, or to learn something new. On the other side, employers need to have a way of being direct and easy to use in order to find the best and with the qualifications required. The S4EG project was therefore born to increase the skills and competences of adult teachers and staff of adult education organisations through gamification, methodology, namely educational courses and lifelong learning activities for adult learners in the form of serious games.
The main objectives of the project are:
-new ability of adult educators to implement gamification as part of curricula for improving adult learners key competences
–improved knowledge of innovative pedagogical tools and new technologies in adult education
-improved soft skills for raising employment possibilities of adult learners by developing serious games
– better understanding of expectations & needs in learning environments, focusing on serious games
– exchange of good practice among partners
– creation of guidelines for implementation of gamification curricula for adult learners
