Description

The objective of the FINYOUTH project is to transfer financial knowledge through gamified methodologies to prevent youngsters from low socio-economic contexts from falling into excessive debt and online gambling. To do this, the project will put in action a multistakeholder, whole-institutional approach, bringing together actors from formal and non-formal education settings, businesses, civil society and the public sector who will participate in all stages of the project following a quadruple helix innovation approach to develop an enabling learning ecosystem to bring change at institutional and individual and societal level.

Objectives

  • Raise the awareness of the general public, with a focus on young people, on the impact of financial decisions in their lives.
  • Build the capacity of youth organisations and youth workers to implement non-formal sessions on financial literacy with a focus on the risks of online gambling and microtransactions in videogames.
  • Train youngsters on financial literacy through non-formal methodologies to make more educated decisions.
